So it took me about 5 hours since I landed in London to find my nearest Boots and pick up a few items (give me credit here, this would be considered 'reasonable' no?) that I had been itching to try. Also, none of these products were available in the UAE so I jumped at the chance to get them. First off, the L'oreal Ever Riche range has been on almost every beauty blogger's monthly favourites lately so I knew that was a must try. I got the Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Fine Hair (there is another version for thicker more rebellious hair). Also, since it was on a '3 for 2' offer, I snagged the Smoothing Mist Heat Protection spray as well. I have to say it's quite nice. Makes the hair nice and soft, PLUS it's Sulphate free. I wouldn't classify it as the BEST hair range I've ever used, but its definitely worth the price. My shampoo of choice is still the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo - which I highly recommend you snatch a sample of the next time you're in the vicinity of a Kiehl's store.
Next is the Original Source shower gel, which always seems to be the shower gel I use when I'm in the UK. This was literally a pound, so into my cart it went. I got the Lemon and Tea Tree version. When it comes to how much I like it, well, it does the job and smells quite lemony and minty at the same time, which is not bad and actually really refreshing. Again, worth the price. But if you're looking for something more nourishing or softening then this is not for you. But then again... a pound!
Finally, I HAD to hit up the Origins counter. I immediately knew which two products I was going to go for. Firstly, the High-Potency Night-A-Mins was definitely on my wish list. Its a night time moisturizing cream that's supposed to get rid of dullness by sloughing away dead skin. It does come in an oil-free version but I grabbed the regular one. I've been layering this under my Clinique Moisture Surge Intense and have been loving it so far. Next on my Origins' list was the 2013 beauty award winning GinZing Brightening Mascara. I do quite like this. And it does hold true to it's promise of brightening the eye, making it a great daytime mascara. But for evenings or special occasions, I think I'll stick to my Benefit They're Real (actually funny story, someone literally did ask me if my eyelashes were real when I was wearing 2 layers of They're Real once).
