Top 5 Bold Lip Picks!

If there's one look I love, its a bold lip. To me, it's just the easiest way to look polished, classy and trendy in a matter of seconds. And with all the different shades out there, its easy to find shades that work for yellow undertones, pink undertones or neutral ones. With a little research and some swatching, you can easily find what best suits you. My current picks range from deep reds to a hot pink to orangey-reds (my absolute fave). So, without further ado, I give you... my top 5 bold lip picks.

1.  Tom Ford Lipstick in 10 Cherry Lush

A classic deep matte red, Tom Ford's lipstick in 10 Cherry Lush is more of a 'reach-for-when-you-want-to-feel-sophisticated' lipstick. The consistency is not creamy, but quite thick which is great if you're prone to bleeding lips. The staying power of this beauty is absolutely amazing and really, paired a classic black blazer and maybe some killer studs, its hard not to feel like a million dollars in this. It's no wonder it was named "Best Lipstick for InStyle Magazine's Best Beauty Buys" in 2012.

2. Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in 13

Of course, when lipsticks are being discussed, Rimmel's Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks need a mention. The shade 13 is the one I reach for when Im looking for a good coral orangey red (can't seem to explain it any other way). This lip look can easily be taken from morning (with just a dab of mascara) to night (with a winged liner). Add to that a little bronzer and a peached toned blush and your golden - no pun intended.

3. Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Intense in 36

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for bright pinks. Super pigmented and rich, the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist intense in 36 is a great choice for this. Lovely for if you're looking for a little girly-but-chic in your life. It has blue undertones so pairing it with the softest, barely-there cool pink blush may be the approach you want to take with this baby. Isn't she gorgeous?

4. Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg

Ok, this is a stunner. I had to put in two rich reds in my list. Ironically, although the Tom Ford lipstick is named "Cherry Lush", the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg is definitely more of a cherry red as opposed to a deep red. Out of all the lipsticks listed, this applies the most beautifully. Really, just glides on like butter. Im convinced that this will look so flattering on almost everyone. A staple, for sure!

5. Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven

The liquid lipstick trend is something Im definitely digging, being a huge fan of matte lipsticks with superior staying power. And MAN, does the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven have staying power! Actually, kind of impossible to get off. Just a side note, this is as matte as it gets in terms of liquid lipsticks and just a tad drying in my opinion so if you're having a chapped lip day, I would steer clear from this baby. But on all other days, applied on top of a lip balm, its just beautiful. Also, don't get me going on the killer shade! It just screams "on trend". Love.
