Top 5 Winter Nail Polish Picks

The winter is officially upon us! I just love this season because to me it means lots of cozy sweaters, an abundance of starbucks cappuccinos and flavoured lattes, nights in cozied up on the sofa with my kindle and cup of tea, but most of all, the endless options of gorgeously rich nail shades to choose from. Here are a few of my current top polish picks.

This is the perfect wine-red shade. Sophisticated and edgey at the same time. Almost like winter's take on classic red tips. So universally flattering its no wonder this beauty is a cult favourite.

This one is a stunner. If you're into dark tips for the season, but don't want to go full-on black, this pick is for you. It's a  beautiful navy shade with purpley-pinkish shimmer. So gorgeous you might have to pull yourself away from gawking at the bottle.

Everytime I apply this lovely lacquer on my fingertips, I feel that much more girly. It's a little more plum/ berry toned than the Revlon Vixen polish (pictured above). It's also the perfect shade that transitions nicely from fall to winter.

Ok, I feel like the above picture hardly does this polish justice. First, sorry about the blurriness. And second, it seems like the camera itself wasn't picking up the multifaceted shimmers in the shade. The base shade seems to be a taupe mauve with a pinkish purple shimmer. Sounds crazy, I know. But oh, so beautiful. If you're curious I suggest you type out "Chanel Paradoxal" into Google Images, sit back, and prepared to be mesmorised.

Nars in No Limits (Limited Edition)

I know this shade doesn't exactly scream winter but its a recent purchase, is limited edition and is a favourite of mine at the moment, so I couldn't put off mentioning it in a blog post. It's the richest deep pink shade, and one I have been searching for for quite some time. I managed to find an instagram pic with a peak of me wearing this...
