Product Review: Jouer Mattifying Bronzer

Now, I had been lusting after the Jouer Replenish & Protect Hydrating Bronzer in Perfect Tan for quite some time. My attempts at convincing myself that I did not need another bronzer in my collection were a waste of time and I'd been hearing all these claims about it. "Applies beautifully" "Stunning shade" "Amazing texture" "Different from any other bronzer I've tried".... I finally decided - thats it, Ima need to get me some of that Jouer.

But here was the kicker, I couldn't manage to get a hold of it. Not on different online makeup websites, nor on the Jouer website itself which didn't seem to have it listed on there at all. After sending a panicked note on Jouer's online contact form I was told that it was in fact .... DISCONTINUED! (hashtag boo)

Yep, that was a total bummer.  BUT I was told that their Mattifying Bronzer Powder in Sunswept (pictured above) was a great alternative. It wasn't long after that when she (referring to the bronzer of course) was  happily listed in my Cult Beauty online shopping cart and ready for check out.

It's been a couple of weeks since I've started using this and I'm hooked for the time being. First off, the packaging is unbelievably sleek. It has attachment components which you could use to hook on to other Jouer makeup items forming your own custom palette which is pretty neat. But more importantly, the product itself is great. Really pigmented and a lovely buttery consistency. Applies so smoothly and so easy to blend. I doubt I've ever come across a better bronzer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As for price point, it's listed at 22 GBP on Cult Beauty. Also, side note, it does only come in one shade but it seems to suit most skin tones.

For now, Im putting this in my "HG" category of makeup splurges.
